Young athletes won medals in the international swimming tournament in Dushanbe
An international swimming competition is taking place in Tajikistan from September 12th to 16th. Under the leadership of coach Valentin Gorshkov, seven athletes participating to the competition: Kurban Khommadov, Abdyrakhman Agamuradov, Roman Shabelnik, Seyran Nurmuradov, Muhammet Gutlyev, Valeria Mirenskaya and Ogulmerjen Nuraeva. Athletes from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Republic of Kyrgyzstan are participating to the tournament.
Turkmenistan won four medals at the start of the tournament. Valeria Mirenskaya and Ogulmerjen Nuraeva together won a silver medal, and also separately won two bronze medals. Kurban Hommadov, a student of the Turkmen state institute of physical culture and sports, won another bronze medal in the 200-meter breaststroke.
