Turkmenistan – is the land of happy, healthy and spirited youth
On October 9, with this slogan, there were launched physical-sports training and healthy life events in our capital, Arkadag city and other provinces.
The event was organized within the framework of the international exhibition and scientific conference entitled “Health care, education and sports during the Revival of the new Epoch of the Stable state”.
In the morning, a bicycle rally was organized from the “Bicycle” building at the junction of Chandybil Avenue and Bekreve Street to the “Science” building. It was attended by pupils of secondary schools, which train and provide general education for Youth Olympians, who are brought up in the State Palace, athletes of the national cycling team of Turkmenistan and the students of higher educational institutions.
Also, on the same day, mass relay races were held along the Kopetdag Avenue of Ashgabat. It was attended by the pupils of general secondary schools in Ashgabat, students of higher education institutions, employees of ministries, departments and public organizations.
In the relay race, students of higher education institutions and secondary schools competed in 10 stages of 250 meters, and employees of ministries, departments and public organizations competed in 5 stages of 200 meters.
Within the framework of the event, a mass cross-country race was also held in the athletic field of the Olympic campus in the capital.
In this event, students of higher education institutions showed their skills in running 800 meters, pupils of general secondary schools in 500 meters and employees of ministries, departments and public organizations in 400 meters.
Mass bicycle rallies, relay and cross-country races were held on that day in our provinces with the participation of sportsmen of sports schools, students of general secondary and higher educational institutions, employees of enterprises and organizations.
