Turkmenistan Student Leagues Launched in Futsal, Basketball, and Volleyball
The Opening ceremony of the Turkmenistan Student Leagues in futsal, basketball, and volleyball was held at the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sports.
The event was organized in accordance with the 2026 Plan of Mass Sports and Cultural Activities approved jointly by the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, within the framework of the National Student Sports Federation. The activities are conducted under the motto of the year, “Independent neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged horses.”
Speakers at the ceremony emphasized the importance of the ongoing national efforts aimed at developing physical education and sports, promoting a healthy lifestyle among youth, and supporting high-performance sports. Particular attention was paid to expanding student participation in sports and strengthening competitive spirit.
As part of the ceremony, the institute’s “Healthy Generations” artistic group delivered musical performances highlighting the values of a healthy lifestyle, sports, and inspiration.
The launch of the Turkmenistan Student Leagues is intended to enhance students’ engagement in sports, foster competitive excellence, and further elevate the country’s sporting reputation.
