Student-athlete Pardayeva wins gold medal at the Grand Prix tournament
Turkmen judoka Maysa Pardayeva became the winner of the Judo Grand Prix event in Qingdao, China.
In the final bout of the under 57 kg weight category, Pardayeva defeated French representative Martha Fawaz and won the gold medal.
The tournament in Qingdao will conclude on June 28. The competition serves as the second stage of the qualifying process for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
The 21-year-old Pardayeva previously won a bronze medal at the Grand Slam tournament in Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia). In 2024, she competed at the Olympic Games in Paris as part of the Turkmenistan national team.
